Back to work On 2005-08-22 16:22
Raaaaaah holidays are now over until end of October and the trip to Japan with Pierre and Scott. Germany was cool especially as it was the only long vacation I am going to take. It feels good to relax for a few days without thinking about leaving as soon as you get somewhere. We visited Hamburg, it is a nice city with a nice harbour but I think the surroundings are much better. We went to Schulau which is the Welcome Point to the port. Every time a big ship enters the port, they play his national anthem to salute it. It is pretty cool. We also went to Lubeck which was a very very nice city, I wish we could have stayed there longer than half a day. Anyway now we are back. Neela is going back to the US tomorrow, this is very sad. Hopefully she will be back for Christmas :) Martijn is also leaving soon, looks like there won't be anyone at work to hang out with soon. On friday we went for drinks to Johnny walshes and ended up in Antigel around 2 am. It is a weird bar but very cool. It is owned by Sam, a funny tall black guy whose friends took us to the Bar@mix disco afterwards. It ended up in beeing a black people disco so I can tell we were looked at a bit. Funny night :p. We ended up at Charles and took the first metro back home. Saturday was so hard...
Ho-Ho-Ho-lidays ! On 2005-08-08 10:37
Days at work are getting rare. I feel like I hop from one place to another one. Two weekends ago we spent 5 days in London staying at Scott's place. It was very cool. We walked around London and saw pretty much everything that had to be seen in the city. It was nice to see Scott again. I liked London a lot more than Paris even though it is also a big city (this is probably why they won the olympics). Anyway everything was great. Yesterday and Saturday we were in Montelimar to spend the week end with Peggy, Denis, Clement and Charly. We had a good time visiting Montelimar and Grignan which ended up in beeing a cool little town. Some parts reminded me of Perouges but as it is bigger, there aren't only old houses like in Perouges. Some pictures from London are online, Montelimar ones will follow soon. Tonight we're leaving for 10 days to Germany. It will be fun I hope and good for Neela to see something different. I am also happy to see my aunt again.
Oh and I almost forgot, I managed to close the St Etienne Tourist Board while I was in London (I found out they were operating from there... tssss....). Yeah ! |
