And the winners are..... On 2007-07-31 14:31
.... us of course. Who else ? For the 6th time on a row, Lyon won Trophée des champions which is like the charity chield in England. This game features the champion of the previous season against the winner of the french cup. This year it was Lyon against Sochaux and once more, we won the game. I wouldn't say easily but the win was deserved. Team looks good even though it might be hard in European cup as many players and unexperimented. On Sunday the league starts again with a home game against Auxerre. It is nice to go to the stadium again before leaving for some well deserved holidays :) Tour de France On 2007-07-26 08:55
What a mess ! It looks like a joke now... There was Vinokourov who mixed his blood with someone else's and thought that nobody would notice during the doping control. He knew he would win the stage and as the blood of the first 3 racers is always tested, there was no way he could escape it. What the hell are they thinking ??. His team was designed around him for the pride of Kazakhstan and now they are just ridiculous. A Cycling official there said that it was targeted by french officials who didn't want him to win the race. Come on guys, the guy implicitely meant in an interview before the tour that he was not against some doping products. Of course the officials didn't want him to win... 2 days ago, Eric Boyer the manager of Cofidis, a french team, said "Vinokourov" dirtied the Tour and was very aggressive towards the Kazakh. Yesterday, Moreni a racer from Cofidis was found guilty of doping as well and Eric Boyer to say "Moreni assumes his responsibility, he is a good guy who was weak and did the wrong thing. He feels sorry". So it looks like doping is REALLY forbidden as long as it is other teams' racers that use these products, when it is your own team then it is just a sad mistake. Anyway, both team are now out, taking away all chances for german Kloden who was my favorite to win the tour this year (but maybe was he doped as well?). Yesterday, new episode. People found out that Rasmussen, who was incredibly strong even in time trial where he usually sucks big time, lied about the place he was to prepare the Tour. Everybody knew he didn't give his schedule to the cyclist union, preventing them to perform any doping control on him during his preparation, but that was not considered bad enough to be kicked out of the tour, but he apparently said he was in Mexico while he was in Italy. There is no reason to lie about something like that but as he was already under suspicion, his team decided to kick him out. They will decide today if the whole team resigns or if they keep racing. Now the final word goes to Lance Amstrong who declared he was happy to see that doping controls work. Ironic huh ? Una cerveza por favor On 2007-07-24 17:07
Easyjet is closing down their routes to Rome and Madrid at the end of October. They are going to be replaced by new routes to Berlin and Barcelona so I guess these will be my/our future destinations which sounds pretty cool. Any way I decided to take the opportunity to go to Madrid before the route disappears so I will be going between September 7th and September 10th. If anybody is interrested in joining me, it is only 60 Euros from Lyon. I have to learn some spanish words but fortunately, I already know the most important ones "Una cerveza por favor". Can't wait. Camembert Président On 2007-07-24 16:11
Our président Nicolas Sarkozy is so great, he saved all the bulgarian nurses who were going to be executed in Lybia. This is at least how we are supposed to see things here. After months and months of negociations from the European Union with Lybia, Sarko just goes to Lybia as soon as it feels like the nurses will be freed soon. He also sends his wife twice and just like magic they are freed. And the dummy french beret-wearing papi is thinking "Our président saved them". Well to me this looks like a simple tentative to get all the credit for the liberation of the nurses. Stinky manners I think, just like an old camembert. Supersize me again On 2007-07-23 15:52
Looks like the supersize coke is available in the US again. After the quite good "Supersize me" documentary by Morgan Spurlock, McDonalds decided to remove the supersize versions of drinks from their menu. It didn't last very long as it is apparently back with a funky name "HUGO" which should have been named "HUGE-U" or something like that. 42 ounces of coke, which means 1.2 litres to drink containing 410 calories. That's 15% of the calories I have every day ! In just one drink ^^. I guess people won't get slimmer in the US but I guess if people buy it why not selling it ? The other day I was watching that charity show on tv and I thought if McDonalds was offering reduced portion (like 20% less) for the same price (doesn't have to be mandatory), and give the 20% they save up to the poor people, McDonalds fans might buy it, therefore eat less and give money to the poor. McDonalds could also use this for their publicity but would people in the US be ready to pay the same amount to get less food ? Maybe in California, New York or other strongholds but in rural america... might not be a so good idea there. Dirty Harry On 2007-07-20 14:05
So..... H-10 before the last volume of the harry potter series is released and apparently some libraries in the US couldn't wait to make money. Many different spoilers are available on the web. Some say that Harry will die together with Voldemort, some say that Hermione dies, some say that half a dozen characters die,.... I'd say too many spoilers kill the spoilers. Maybe some of these spoilers are actually published by the editors thinking that if people find 4 different ones on the internet, they will think they're all fake... I looked online, and I still don't know who is dying so I guess they did their job well :p Special guest of Hard-Fi On 2007-07-17 15:37
Check this video, you might recognize who was the guest star of this video clip. Interresting part is around 2:30 - 2:50 mins. Enjoy ;) Introducing new changes On 2007-07-17 14:58
I was tired of the previous design of the website so I made it way more simple. Due to the huge amount of automatic messages posted on this website and all the other keitaro.net domain sites like japan05.keitaro.net, I had to introduce a few changes. First of all, an account will be required to post shouts or comments. Getting an account is very simple, just fill the form in on the registration page. On this page you will have to give the name of the randomly selected simpson character that will appear on screen. This is again to protect the system against some of the automatic bots. They know how to read numbers but don't know yet how to recognize a bart from a homer. Once the account is created, you can simply login and then you will have access to the forms allowing you to shout or send comments about news. Amongst new stuff, there is also the return of pictures. The pictures page will be improved a little later but the section is back !. This will probably require some more changes to get something that works properly but it can already be used. The last change I am working on is a function that will send the people who want it, an email when a news is posted. This is not yet working though. Hope you like it. |
