The last few days were very "complete". A lot of different things happened and a lot of feelings went through everyone. Pierre left MPA and we had 2 parties to tell him good bye. The first one was in IARC and the second one in a bar downtown called the Sirius. Many people were there and we had a lot of fun even if we drank a bit too much I think. Too bad Scott couldn't be here to say bye to Pierre. I can't tell eveything, but the week end needs to end fast cause too many feelings isn't a very good thing. Champions On 2004-05-16 20:43
| Finally our soccer team won the championship for the third year on a row. I celebrated yesterday but I think it will be a lot more next Sunday when they'll officially be champions. I feel a bit better this week end, but I'm still tired. I hope I won't be as nervous as I was last week. Anyway sun is back in France, weather is hot, I am not smoking any more so things could be worse. | | |
2 Points & new nerves On 2004-05-13 10:48
Here is all I need. 2 Points to make sure Lyon wins their 3rd french title in 3 years. They are now 4 points ahead Monaco and 6 ahead Paris. There are only 2 games to go, one in Paris and one in Lyon against Lille. If they win at least one of those 2 games, they'll be champion and I'll be drunk soon. New nerves cause I'm tired, can't sleep very well, and everyone is then pissing me off. I'm fucking alone in my office all day long and when someone comes talk to me, it is 90% of the time to ask me something or because they need me and not because of my sweet eyes. I need vacation. Virus On 2004-05-05 22:17
Every month a new virus spread from crazy people's mind. In my humble opinion, people stupidity is the biggest virus routing on the internet. First, how come a hoax is still a working concept ?. People receive an email saying they will get bad luck if they don't send it to twenty persons and send it. People receive an email saying they can win the latest cell phone from Erikson for free if they send the message to ten of their friends, and they send it. Is it so hard to check on a website like hoaxbuster.com if they are not sure ? And what is fun is that they don't send the message 20 times, but they send it once to twenty people. And what is even more funny is that they don't even use Blind Carbon copy, but only CC: so if you're on the list, they give your adress to 20 people and as they are VERY stupid, they will forward the original message, instead of copying the interresting part and that's how you will receive an email with hundreds of email adresses before the message. After that kind of problems, you can consider that dozens of people in the world know your adress email. Don't be surprised if you received junk mail or virus, just teach your friend how to be less stupid. They need it. Now how most virus work. Most of email virus are simple. Someone opens a .pif or .exe file from someone they don't know and infect their computer. This is no big deal but the main problem is that this virus will send himself to all the adresses in that person's adress book. The message will look like "Look at this" and you'll receive it from a friend, so you think you can trust that person and you'll open the file, infect your computer, and unvoluntary send the virus to all your friends who will open it because they trust you. In my opinion, people should learn from their mistakes, but they don't. They don't use Antivirus programs, firewalls and all those software which protect you from viruses and then say "oh shitty virus". To make a comparison for those who didn't understand, it would be like : "you received this ad in your mail, please send it to all your friends" or "you received that package that sounds like 'tic tac' and you open it", etc etc... I'm really sorry for the people who will be offended when they'll read this, but stop considering internet like wonderland and yourself like Alice and think before opening a program you receive, even from a friend and you may be a lot safer using your computer... Silence On 2004-05-04 20:38
A few days without a word from me... There is no particular reason, except that I feel good doing other things like sports, learning Japanese and Spanish, or reading. I don't know how long it will last but at the moment I don't feel like spending my life on the internet. What is a bit sad is to think about all those things that are actually going on at work. Everyone think about leaving the agency and in about 2 months, there will be at least 3 people less in MPA. That is very sad :( |
