 Old memories.... On 2004-04-23 13:22 "La nostalgie c'est se rappeller les bons souvenirs pour se persuader qu'ils etaient nombreux" (Sebastien Antoni) Ahhh I remember when I was 17,.... Going out all the time, proud to be drinking loads of beer (hum that didn't change actually lol), partying 4 days on a row without being tired... And friends... We thought we'd keep them all our life long. There was Johan, who was the host for most of the parties. We destroyed everything possible in his house (well, in his parents house actually). There was Cedric better known as Titine, who was sexually obsessed 24 hours a day. There was Fabrice, a guy who could stay years without showing his mood. Nico, the good looking guy that everyone was joking about because he had no girlfriend ( I didn't either ^^). There was also Guillaume, who was dating girls not because of his look but because he had good conversation skills and a strong character. I remember the first parties at Johan's where everyone was drunk. We were 7, no girls, we were drinking, listenning to music and doing stupid things. Then more and more people came. During the last parties we were around 40 which was way too much. Girls came with their boyfriend, with their friends, and then became someone's girlfriend. You had to be "in love" with someone, that was the tradition... and everyone was. There was Flo, Nico's girlfriend who ended with another guy of the group. There was Laurence, who was dating a guy but was in love with Nico. They are now dating each other for a while :p. There was Nelly, the only woman who could drink more beer than any guy I know and so many other girls.... In the middle of that mess, Jo and I were used as glue. In a group of 40 people, some don't like others, you can't do anything about it. Well we were doing something about it and keeping everyone together. One day, Jo and I fought very hard, and didn't each other since.... Well parties were over, and most of those 40 people completly lost contact with everyone else in the group.... Good old times ?.... hmmm, maybe at that time, but when I look at it more deeply, my feeling is that without us, everything would have exploded a long time before it did so it was a bit insane to continue like this.... I think. Afraid to lose ? On 2004-04-18 12:36 Yesterday I watched the final of the French League Cup of Football between Sochaux and Nantes. The first thing is that it was one of the worst games I saw this year. What is weird is that both teams are known to be good teams which play very well and which are usually very nice to watch. Unfortunatly (for us, spectators), both teams were so afraid to lose that game, that none of them even tried to win. Of course they had some goal occasions but it wasn't very convincing. There is a morale in this story cause what happened yesterday with a football game can be also applicable to usual life. If you really want something, don't be afraid to lose it, you don't even have it yet, and try to get it, you have nothing to lose and so much to win... Don't know if it will be useful but at least it is now available.
Yesterday after work, we stopped in a Belgian beer shop and bought a few bottles. We then walked to Vishwa's place and stay there with Eiko and Yukoo for a while. When we ran out of beer, we went to a chinese (?) restaurant named l'Indochine. It was pretty nice, I think everyone enjoyed the evening. Leading the Championship(s) On 2004-04-12 13:26 Yeaaaah, yesterday Lyon's football (soccer) team won an away game against Strasbourg. They are now 1st of the league, with one point more than Monaco. This is kewl. On the other hand, the 1st team of my handball club, is ranked 1st also and they only need 1 draw out of the last 3 games to be champion. That is damn cool, I hope both become Champions this year :)
Today is Easter, so day off. On Wednesday I got a meeting for a new job, I hope it works, but we'll see :p New Layout On 2004-04-11 16:59 Ok you probably noticed I changed the layout again, the previous one was "cute" according to everyone who saw it, but I wanted something more sobre and this one isn't bad I think. I will probably improve it a bit more soon anyway. It is easter so I have 4 days off and that is sooo cool to sleep late in the morning and just rest all day :) |
