 Geneva On 2005-03-21 16:00 Went for a day trip to Geneva on Saturday. First thing, it is cheap, 31 Euros return for <26 years old. Second point, it is a big city.... unfortunatly. I was a bit disappointed by the center of Geneva where there is a lot of traffic, and where the sights are surrounded by buildings. I really enjoyed the nap on the grass of the parc near Lac Leman though. Lucky us, it was a sunny day :) As usual some pictures on http://sebastien.fpic.co.uk Tarascon, Arles, Nimes On 2005-03-07 11:32 Pictures of the week end trip to the south are posted on http://sebastien.fpic.co.uk/ Was very nice, Tarascon was very small and there is almost only the castle and a church to see. The streets are very nice though. Arles was bigger but even though it looks a big like avignon (on a hill), things to see are very different. Got some snow there but not too long fortunately. Nimes was the biggest and a great city in my opinion, with things to see everywhere. churches, canal, arenas, temples, gardens,..... very nice trip especially as we had sun most of the time :) Some news On 2005-03-02 21:23 Looks like I've been lazy about writing here recently. So what is new.... Well first football results, very good one for Lyon against Monaco, Bremen and St Etienne (hehe) and a bad one against Clermont in the French cup (is Monique happy ?). Haven't been out this week yet, but feel pretty good. Looks like resting is good for health O_o. I thought only beer was good for health. Anyway on saturday, there was the big game of the year against St Etienne in Gerland. Martijn came to that one and we went downtown afterwards. Of course it couldn't just go that smoothly. So I got tired and Martijn made me ride his bike and sat on the back. After passing a bridge, Martijn got scared (cause I was drunk and going right, left, right,..etc... and dangerously close to the water lol). He jumped off the bike and pushed me...... I went straight into a tree :) I didn't hurt myself but had to carry the bike to his place as it was a bit broken. Good laugh though. We then met Anja and Marta at the Albion and moved to the Vox to meet Charles and his friends. While at the bar, I realized I started drinking 12 hours before lol.... Kinda rested since then. I might go to the hand ball training again tomorrow with Takao and we're heading south this weekend to visit a few towns. Will post pictures if I make some good ones :) |
